The two-story apartment is a 5 minute walk to town center. The house is a renovated 19th century farmhouse with two units – the other side is owner occupied. There’s one bath, 2 BR, living and dining rooms. Located on quiet Dickinson Street in a village business district, it’s a great in-town living location. The apartment is very sunny, with hardwood floors, and tiled kitchen and bath. It includes a dishwasher, and a private washer/dryer in the basement. There are 3 exterior entrances; all are private for this apartment. The yard is nicely landscaped, and you will be very close to Amherst College, the Emily Dickinson property, and other services within a few blocks. The rent is $2,000 plus electric and gas; the heat is high efficiency hot water – a very comfortable and controllable heating system.

There is a parking lot on site and street parking is also available. Trash collection is provided - we recycle and compost our food waste on-site.

The washer and dryer for this apartment are located in the basement, along with ample storage space.

There is an outdoor shower on the property – available May to October.

References and good credit are required, no groups, pets, smokers. Since I live next door, I require quiet and responsible neighbors.

Covid-19, etc.: The apartment is currently sparsely furnished (2 beds, couch, dining table, chairs, lamps); these could be used by a new tenant or moved into storage. The apartment has not been occupied for about 5 months; all the exterior doors are private, mail is delivered, and you can park in the lot or right in front of the apartment. The tenant basement laundry area is about 6ft from my washer, but I would install a temporary barrier between the 2 areas for safety.

I am willing to discuss the lease term, and any other concerns. Note that the pictures are of the apartment before it was furnished, but otherwise they are accurate. Also, there are now window coverings (wood blinds and shades) on all the windows. It could be easily considered move-in ready.
